Tele Vue Barlows have been beautifully designed to carry out their three main functions:
  1. Amplify power ( a 2x barlow will double the magnification of your eyepiece)
  2. Slow the telescopes f number thereby improving the eyepiece sharpness
  3. Allow the designer to compensate for eyepiece aberrations

TeleVue Barlows Tele Vue barlows use multi coated high index glasses for: 1¼" Barlows are available as 2 times or 3 times magnification. Choose either or both based on your eyepiece collection. Features include parfocalization, 1¼" filter threads, captive lock screws that won't fall out and full multicoatings.

2" Big Barlow is ideal for doubling the magnification of your 2" Tele Vue eyepieces! With an adaptor to use it with 1¼" eyepieces as well, it is ideal for Newtonian telescope owners. It is parfocal with both 2" and 1¼" eyepieces and features threads for 48mm filters, captive lock screw and full multicoatings. To enjoy Tele Vue's big barlow with some of the Panoptic eyepieces, it is necessary to use the Panoptic-Barlow Interface

Meade Barlow

Meade #126 Barlow The Meade #126 Barlow is a high quality compact short (2.5") unit and was designed to fit into the eyepiece holder of the Meade ETX 90/105/125 to keep the telescopes eyepiece height comfortably low.

However, it can also be used in the 1.25" star diagonal of any type or brand of telescope for true 2x magnification.

In addition to the Meade ETX scopes, it is particularly recommended for use with refractors and reflectors of F5 and above where a physically short Barlow is preferrred.
