The Tele Pod Mount
from Tele Vue
This superb mount, shown here cradling a
Tele Vue Telescope, is yet another excellent well designed piece of kit
to come from Tele Vue to increase your options and enhance your enjoyment.
Ideal for travelling with the smaller Tele Vue scopes, this complete Alt-Az mounting
system weighs in at a mere 7lbs! Catering for you, wherever you use it, the telescope can
be set anywhere between 28 inches to 62 inches - and if you bump into it in the dark you'll
thank the person who thought of covering the black anodised aluminium legs with foam! What's
more it's suitable for all surfaces as each rubber-tipped foot can retract to enable you to use
a metal ground spike - AND it's got a built in bubble level so you can be sure your mount is
set up precisely!
And now for the really clever bit....
The centre column can be used either way up, and one end has a 1/4-20 stud and the other end is a removable 3/8-16
stud base! So, you can mount your Tele Vue scope one end, or invert the centre column and then
you have an excellent tripod for standard fitting still or video cameras!
The Yoke & Cradle type mount head balances your scope at its centre of gravity and a delrin stop prevents
your valuable telescope tipping and bashing the mount head.

Panoramic and Gibraltar Mounts
Tele Vue Make their own mounts for their telescopes. These mounts balance scopes at their
centres of gravity to provide "Dobsonian-like" smoothness, avoiding camera tripods'
image sag and equatorial mounts' heavy counter weights. The anodised aluminum head always
positions eyepieces conveniently upright and features adjustable tension on the brass
altitude bearings and azimuth shaft bushing. Solid wood legs and accessory
tray dampen vibration.
Supplied in Ash or Walnut with brass fittings, these mounts are not only very nice to look AT, but give
a solid and sturdy base for you to look THROUGH your telescope, while still being light enough
to be quite portable.
