and please note that not EVERY item on the site can be bought on-line - we have excluded everything that we know either takes a long time to get, or needs a discussion before you purchase eg: Losmandy mounts - big, expensive, can take a while to get and we need to discuss your planned use and required fittings...
So now you can shop from our site, what can you expect?
- Wherever you see this
button, a right click of your mouse will add the item next to the button to your shopping basket!At this point
you have NOT bought or paid for anything and will have plenty of opportunity to change your mind, so don't worry!
Be warned! If you entered the site without loading the shopping software, attempting to add to the basket in this way will cause the software to load at that moment, so you will see the screen change and you will have to wait! DON'T PANIC! - On every page where you can shop you will frequently be offered the chance to Review your shopping basket.
You need to do this when you have finished shopping or at any time you want to check what you have
put in your basket so far. It will take you to a page where you can review and alter the contents of the basket
and from where you can either abandon the process or carry on to the checkout, or cashier as we call it!
- When you have finished your shopping and want to go on to pay for it, you must go to the review basket
page as described in point 2
- From there you can alter the quantities in your basket, delete them, or empty the basket altogether!
- Once you are happy with your choice of items, go on to the cashier. Don't worry, you still haven't passed the
point of no return!
- The next screen will ask for your name, address, phone no. email address etc...and you STILL
haven't passed the point of no return!
- Going on from there, you will see a summary showing what you are ordering and the anticipated
cost of shipping to you. Please note these prices are for shipping to the UK mainland only! We have done our best to ensure that the total arrived at for shipping is
as accurate as we can make it, but someone somewhere will sooner or later order some combination
we just didn't anticipate! However, not to worry - firstly you are still not past the point of no return
and secondly we don't take your money until we dispatch the goods, so please trust us to
adjust the cost accordingly!
- If the actual cost of shipping is less than you have been shown, then that's to your advantage, but
if you are worried you can email us or phone us. If the cost calculated has come out way under
the actual cost, we will contact you before we proceed!
- You will be shown the terms of trade before anything else happens and will have to agree
before you can continue with the transaction. This is as much for your clarification
and protection as it is for ours!
- At this point, you can click on the secure credit card payment button and THEN you will
be taken to a SECURE SERVER as indicated by the locked padlock in the bottom left hand
corner of your screen. It is only now that you enter your credit card details, which are encrypted
before leaving your browser and only decrypted again by us when the encrypted email arrives
on our computer!
- you will get an automatically generated email confirming your order.
- We will not process your card to take your money until the goods leave us to go to you, unless
we take a deposit which will be clearly indicated!
- We will contact you by phone or email if there are any problems - items not in stock etc..
