Diagonal

If you have invested in a solarscope telescope then you need a good 1¼" star diagonal. Venturescope recommend Tele Vue Everbrite star diagonal as the best buy where the quality of the optics matches the quality of the Solarscope optics. The Everbrite exotic, dielectric, nonmetallic coating is 99% reflective across the full visual spectrum, resulting in the "whitest," most natural image available. The coating is painstakingly applied to Pyrex with a surface accuracy of a 1/10 wave flatness. The diagonal body of each is machined from solid blocks of aluminum. In this way Televue can insure permanent alignment. The one piece body construction also assures heavy accessories can't force the diagonal body to "unscrew" from the barrel as with other brands. The diagonal features brass clamp rings and anti-reflection threads.

Eyepiece

For visual viewing, then the Tele Vue Click Stop Eyepiece is fantastic. Go from full disc to focus on that prominence without changing eyepieces! This impressive 8mm to 24mm zoom can do it, along with 15mm to 20mm of eye relief. The Tele Vue Zoom features 100% quality inspection, full multi-coating, fold-down eyeguard, safety undercut and grip ring. Apparent field ranges from 40° at 24mm to 55° at 8mm.

Solar Tracking Mount

Sol Searcher

If you are using your telescope with a solar filter of any sort then the Sol Searcher from Tele Vue makes it easy to line up your scope with the sun.

Tele Vue Say...
Sol-Searcher is the safe and easy way to find the Sun. It is absolutely safe since you don't look through Sol-Searcher, you look at it. The aperture acts as a "pinhole" which projects an image of the Sun on to the 1/4" translucent "screen." This screen can be viewed from either side. Simply move your scope until the Sun's image is centered on the screen and the Sun will be in the eyepiece's field of view.

The Sol-Searcher attaches to the mount ring slot of every Tele Vue telescope (or to the rear cell slot in the Tele Vue Ranger). For use with telescopes other than Tele Vue, mount the Sol-Searcher using #10-32 screws, or if necessary, attach with Velcro (not supplied).
